I empower people, leaders and teams to step into their power.
Curious to know more about me…
I was born and raised in Kenya by teachers turned entrepreneur parents. That’s where my entrepreneurial spirit came from. I started working when I was 14 while in boarding school. I sold bras and underwear to other girls with my pocket money (which wasn’t much).
I felt empowered to be independent and not have to ask my parents for pocket money for the entire school term.
Coming to AMERICA..
I moved to the US in the early 90s and worked in corporate while going to school. Yearning to be my own boss, I listened to my entrepreneurial gut and got into direct sales, where I grew a team and won a career car while helping other women build their businesses.
After the birth of my twin girls, I became a stay-at-home mom while attending school to finish my Bachelor’s degree. During the last semester, determined to finish, I set a non-negotiable goal and took 28 credits (9 classes)! That’s when I believed that the human mind is relentless and that you can achieve any goal you set with a “No Matter What” attitude. Always hungry for personal growth, I read books, listened to audiotapes, and attended conferences that would help me find my purpose and impact on the world.
I became a guest blogger for Allwomenstalk, a popular lifestyle womens’ blog where I wrote about topics that could be applied both in the workplace and in one’s personal life. They ranged from productivity, health & fitness to self-development. I also guest blogged on platforms like Agorapulse, a social media marketing tool where I shared what I had learned about online marketing tools, tips and strategies.
Transitioning to corporate working as a HR professional, and wanting to put my Organizational Leadership degree into good use, and my passion for developing others, I started delivering programs for women in leadership to maximize confidence and supercharge success.
I have spent countless hours with a number of teams from startups to midsize companies, observing clear behavioral trends behind the happiest and most successful people. With my Human Resources Management certification, and experience in career performance, I am leveraging the latest insights in high performance and leadership into commercially sound strategies for individuals and teams to do their best work by putting emotional intelligence so they can lead with ‘humanness’ at the core, and make an impact.
